You can look forward to these exciting tasks:
- Controlling for the CEE corporate group (Austria as well as Slovakia, Slovenia, Hungary, Czech Republic, and Romania), including deriving action measures and tracking their implementation
- Coordination and point of contact for topics related to accounting, financial reporting, and VAT
- Functional leadership of the local team in Vienna (2 people) and collaboration with the Shared Service Center in Portugal (6 people)
- Sparring partner for local management and sales
- Participation in the preparation and finalization of local annual financial statements for Austria and the CEE region, as well as an aggregated annual statement according to UGB, in close cooperation with local tax advisors
- Point of contact for auditors and the group headquarters in Germany
- Execution of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements according to IFRS (for 6 CEE countries)
- Participation in the preparation of the budget and mid-term plan (once per year)
- Participation in the preparation of forecasts (three times per year)
- Preparation of weekly cash flow forecasts
- Monthly preparation of VAT returns, EC sales lists, and Intrastat declarations
This is what you bring to us:
- Successfully completed studies in business administration or industrial engineering with a focus on finance/controlling, along with solid professional experience in controlling and finance
- In-depth knowledge of accounting standards, both UGB (primary) and IFRS (secondary), especially regarding the different treatment of various accounting matters under both standards (e.g., deferred taxes, personnel provisions, leasing, receivables, inventories, etc.)
- Experience as a certified accountant, especially with the independent preparation of annual financial statements, is desirable
- Knowledge of VAT regulations, particularly regarding the movement of goods within and outside the EU, is desirable
- Confident handling and interpretation of P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow as well as other financial KPIs
- Very good knowledge of SAP (S/4 HANA) is desirable. Good knowledge of SAP Business Objects Financial Consolidation is an advantage, but not a must
- High level of personal responsibility combined with flexibility, communication skills, and enjoyment of teamwork
- Very good English skills, both written and spoken
The minimum salary for the position of Controlling Expert (m/f/d) is €64,000 gross per year (all-in) based on full-time employment. Overpayment is possible depending on your individual qualifications and experience.
