ME Expert Process Technologies Welding (f/m/x)

Our Business Area Electrification (EE) develops and produces battery systems as well as electric and fuel-powered thermal solutions. Additionally, the business unit includes our aftermarket division, Customized & Lifecycle Solutions (EC), offering products and solutions for nearly all types of on-/off-highway and shore vehicles, with a strong focus on thermal and energy management solutions.

You can look forward to these exciting tasks:

  • Planning, procurement and support of automatic welding processes (e.g. MIG, laser, friction stir welding, etc.) for battery production in compliance with costs, quality and deadlines according to the product development process (PEP) as well as the willingness to familiarize oneself with new welding technologies and other interface technologies (e.g. camera systems, testing systems).
  • Optimum design of welded joints together with product development, involving process technologists, production and quality in order to qualify the welding process for series production.
  • Interdisciplinary teamwork and store floor management in a core project team with representatives from project management, development, quality, logistics and controlling.
  • Participation in acquisition projects for future battery systems and improvement of existing battery systems according to Kaizen philosophy.
  • Implementation / evaluation of CE documentation, risk assessments and hazard assessments (e.g. inclusion of laser safety) of machines and systems.

 

This is what you bring to us:

  • Completed university degree (e.g. mechanical engineering, materials technology) or state-certified technician (e.g. processing of aluminum and/or laser welding technologies) and completed further training, international welding engineer (SFI/IWE) or international welding technician (ST/IWT) or willingness to acquire this qualification
  • Several years of professional experience in the project business, preferably in the automotive sector for automated production lines
  • Independent, goal-oriented and systematic way of working
  • Ability to work in a team, assertiveness and decisiveness
  • Very good knowledge of German, good knowledge of written and spoken English
