You can look forward to these exciting tasks
- Lead and develop a production team in a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets
- Coordinate daily production schedules, labor assignments, and material availability to ensure smooth shift operations
- Drive compliance with IATF 16949, ISO-45001, and customer-specific requirements in all processes
- Monitor performance using KPIs (OEE, scrap, rework, downtime) and implement corrective actions for continuous improvement
- Collaborate with Maintenance, Logistics, and Quality teams to minimize disruptions and maximize efficiency on the shop floor
- Promote and enforce safe work practices, ensuring compliance with OSHA and company safety standards
- Train, mentor, and evaluate operators and team members to improve skills, ensure standardized work, and prepare talent for future roles
- Support problem-solving activities (5-Why, Fishbone, Kaizen events) to address root causes and prevent recurrence
- Serve as the key communication link between hourly employees, other departments, and plant leadershi
This is what you bring to us
- Associate’s degree with 5+ years of leadership experience in automotive or high-volume manufacturing, or Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years in a supervisory role
- Proven ability to lead teams in a unionized or non-union manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing tools (5S, Kaizen, SMED, Standardized Work) and problem-solving methodologies
- Experience with production planning, labor management, and resource allocation in a Just-in-Time (JIT) environment
- Solid computer skills including Microsoft Office; experience with ERP/MES systems (SAP preferred)
- Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and coaching skills
- Ability to remain hands-on and visible on the shop floor while balancing administrative dutie
