Our “Roof & Components (RC)” business unit develops and produces roof systems for every type of vehicle and autonomous driving. To achieve this, we rely on the most modern technologies and materials. We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Quality Manager to join our team.

This role is crucial for driving the overall performance of our Plant Quality Function and ensuring continuous improvement in quality standards.

 

 

You can look forward to these exciting responsibilities:

 

  • Drive the overall output/performance of the Plant Quality Function. Identify trends and proactively manage the team to meet/exceed customer expectations and prevent performance deterioration.
  • Lead timely, cross-functional problem-solving initiatives. Manage escalation issues and represent the plant in front of customers and suppliers.
  • Collaborate with the Plant Director and WPS to develop and implement the CI Roadmap for Quality, based on internal/external benchmarks, achieving quantifiable improvements in performance and WPS 2.0 maturity level.
  • Plan and manage the budget, headcount, and capability needs to meet targets. Drive the development of the team through effective performance evaluation, feedback, and development planning aligned with business needs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree required.  Masters degree preferred.
  • Lead by example while developing the team competency. Must have a willingness to get involved and help implement existing processes into the plant.
  • Ability to move and influence people positively to deliver results.
  • Strong problem-solving mindset and data-driven approach.

Experience and Knowledge Required

  • At least 6-10 years of experience in Quality. 
  • Managerial experience is highly preferred, but high-potential candidates who have rapidly advanced within a plant or system will also be considered.
  • Knowledge of Quality Systems and automotive industry standards.
  • Experience in customer de-escalation is critical for this role, as it is essential for effectively managing high-pressure situations and maintaining strong relationships with our customers and suppliers.
  • Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) - Deviation processes - Process engineering change requests.
  • Experience with Stellantis, Ford, and GM portals is preferred.

Technical Expertise

  • Profound knowledge of relevant Quality & HSE Management Systems, Quality Methods & Tools, Customer Specific Requirements, and their implications.
  • Proficiency in GD&T and the ability to read prints.
  • Knowledge of Product Liability & Data Safety and Protection requirements.
  • Good technical understanding of relevant production processes.
  • Solid working knowledge of Problem Solving and Continuous Improvement Tools (e.g., 5Why, QRQC, Kaizen, Fishbone, 5S, SAP, statistical software).
