Our “Roof & Components (RC)” business unit develops and produces roof systems for every type of vehicle and autonomous driving. To achieve this, we rely on the most modern technologies and materials. Are you currently enrolled in your studies and looking for a interesting Internship opportunity in the field of Manufacturing Engineering? The Webasto Plymluth plant located at 14200 N Haggerty Rd is looking for you!

Candidates without prior experience are welcome!

You can look forward to these exciting tasks:

• Support engineer’s daily tasks: design, develop and maintain robust, cost-efficient manufacturing equipment and processes consistent with lean manufacturing practices 
• Understand all assigned process and test requirements including the capability of processes and equipment 
• Perform root cause and failure analysis as required 
• Apply lean manufacturing techniques to processes 
• Plan and execute time studies and line balances 
• Develop and update standard manufacturing work instructions 
• Analyze work centers and implement safety and process improvements 
• Demonstrate ability to understand sources of variation and identify impact of tolerance stack ups in assemblies by applying Six Sigma design and development strategies 
• Develop and conduct experiments as instructed by engineering
