- Understand and meet all assigned process and test requirements, including the capabilities of processes and equipment.
- Perform root cause and failure analysis as needed.
- Apply lean manufacturing techniques to improve processes.
- Plan and execute time studies and line balancing.
- Develop and update standard manufacturing work instructions.
- Analyze work centers and implement safety and process improvements.
- Identify sources of variation and assess the impact of tolerance stack-ups in assemblies using Six Sigma strategies.
- Develop and conduct experiments as directed by engineering.
- Participate in concurrent engineering efforts and critical design reviews to minimize product development costs and enhance manufacturability.
- Provide engineers with weekly summary reports detailing daily tasks.
- Design and improve tools, fixtures, jigs, and assembly aids for the fabrication of company products.
