ME Engineer off shift

You can look forward to these exciting tasks:

 

  • Implement mandatory process standards on plant level
  • Release gluing and PU processes based on PEP process procedure, plant level
  • Implement standard PU cell layouts  (including layout change),with relevant departments
  • Evaluate manufacturing processes based on quality criteria, such as efficiency and speed
  • Analyze customer forecast trends and line utilization, balance line capacity utilization 
  • Ensure defined rework and scrap level
  • Study production and machine requirements and upgrade systems with new technology
  • Develop and test effective automated and manual systems and design and install equipment
  • Define work instructions, routings and define or determine standard time
  • Work out specification, support purchasing process for equipment from technical site
  • Optimize facility layouts, production lines, machine operations and network performance
  • Integrate disparate systems (e.g. equipment handling, transport)
  • Participate in Plant Daily Action and lead Daily Action of ME team
  • Contribute in the regional standardization
  • Prepare & submit annual Lessons Learned & best practice
  • Ensure that manufacturing procedures follow safety and environmental regulations
  • Participate in project meetings to represent plant / ME
  • Set up project reports as required by ONE PEP
  • Act as interface to line suppliers, prepare tech. spec. for supplier selection
  • Deep understanding of global GME&GPE standards
  • Plan and implement process improvements to increase productivity, reduce costs and maximize quality

 

 

This is what you bring to us:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in technical studies or industrial engineering
  • 3-5 years relevant experience in a similar role in an automotive/manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding in lean management and project management
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, fabrication methods and tool design
  • Familiarity with manufacturing equipment and quality assurance techniques
  • Commitment to health and safety standards and environmental regulations
  • Well-versed in relevant software (e.g. CAD, MS Office)
  • Project management skills & Problem-solving ability as well as Teamwork skills
  • Ability and willingness to occasionally work late shifts and long hours if necessary
  • Excellent communication and people skills
