Quality Expert Plant-Quality Management Systems

Webasto is looking for a Quality Expert of Quality Management Systems at our new state of the art manufacturing facility in New Hudson, MI.
This job is responsible for the implementation and maintenance of Quality related systems, processes, methods and tools in accordance with corporate standards in the plant to support the Quality team and other plant functions (e.g. WIMS compliance, Customer and Webasto Standards, GPO templates). This also includes acting as key user for relevant applications and processes (incl. management of related training). Additionally it significantly supports continuous improvement and crossregional/business unit alignment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Preparation & support of plant audit program (internal/external audits)
• Performing internal audits according to plan and support 2nd/3rd party audits in the plant
• Tracking of the closing progress of audit deviations in the plant based on
• Supporting the Plant Quality Manager to ensure positive audit and certification status/activities with respect to IATF/Customer/VDA
• Alignment of plant activities with representatives of the GPO organization
• Controlling and archiving of quality related documentation, incl. information
• Preparation of customer audits and tracking of customer notifications in relevant systems
• Preparation, execution and documentation of relevant training in cooperation with Plant HR (incl. process change management, auditor certification status etc.)
Minimum Qualifications:
• The ideal candidate would have a bachelor’s degree in engineering or other related field or equivalent experience
• 2 years of experience in Quality Management Systems
• 5+ years of experience in an automotive manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of quality methods & tools, e.g. FMEA, SPC, PPAP, APQP, 8D
• Experience with document control systems (WIMS preferred) and other relevant Quality processes and software applications
• Working knowledge of MS-Office applications, SAP-QM skills and other relevant processes and documents
• Basic understanding of continuous improvement and lean manufacturing principles
