Process Technician

Function:  Production & Operations




Job Duties:


  • Perform effective hand-overs from one shift to the next
  • Inform team about daily targets, current issues, quality alerts and distribute tasks to shift team based on daily production plan
  • Setup/Startup of production equipment and tools and perform production/ shift releases in line with work instruction, document and respond to results accordingly
  • Coordinate and manage the daily operation in area of responsibility throughout the shift to ensure best possible results
  • Ongoing monitoring of production outputs for quality and quantity and take appropriate action in case of issues in line with Daily Action
  • Act as interface between Production line and support services such as Quality, SCM/Line Feeder, ME / MT
  • Correction of malfunctions in the line, initiation of maintenance and servicing of machines and equipment (TPM) according to standard
  • Identify and implement improvements and procedure updates in the area in line with procedures
  • Execution and tracking of induction and workstation training for (new) team members in line with process
  • Monitor and maintain all safety equipment, Webasto owned equipment and tools
  • Escalate issues when all other opportunities have been exhausted
  • Relieve operators as needed
  • Maintain a positive work environment and ensures colleague compliance to all applicable standards and instructions particularly, but not exclusively relating to workplace and environmental safety, product safety and quality and employee guidebook/anti-harassment


Education & Experience:


  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent  
  • 3+ years experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the automotive industry
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Must have a process approach to trouble shooting and problem solving  
  • Self-starter able work with limited supervision to maintain process quality  
  • Able to set up and maintain quality production standards  
  • Basic electrical and mechanical knowledge
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations associated with processing parameters  
  • Able to work flexible hours on any shift as assigned
