Program Purchasing Expert (f/m/x)

Our Business Area Electrification (EE) develops and produces battery systems as well as electric and fuel-powered thermal solutions. Additionally, the business unit includes our aftermarket division, Customized & Lifecycle Solutions (EC), offering products and solutions for nearly all types of on-/off-highway and shore vehicles, with a strong focus on thermal and energy management solutions.

You can look forward to these exciting tasks:

  • Independent handling of all processes in purchasing as a core team member for complex projects and sets specifications for parts lists and tool investments
  • Development and evaluation of make-or-buy concepts as well as request for quotations (RFQ) for new parts and changes in the project
  • Management of price negotiations with suppliers together with Purchasing
  • Design and coordination of supplier selection for new projects in cooperation with Commodity Purchasing
  • Management of task forces at regional and global level as well as preparation and presentation of sourcing decisions (SDM) for final supplier selection in the Sourcing Committee
  • Ordering of material for pilot components, tools and tool modifications and ensuring supplier deadlines and budgets as well as initiating measures to reduce costs in projects

 

This is what you bring to us:

  • Completed university degree in business/technology
  • Relevant professional experience and prior knowledge in purchasing and the global market
  • Strong communication, networking and negotiation skills as well as a confident manner at all hierarchical levels
  • Analytical, interdisciplinary and entrepreneurial thinking and acting as well as a reliable and well-structured way of working
  • Sound knowledge of cost analysis and digital affinity as well as confident handling of all major MS Office applications, especially SAP
  • Ability to work under pressure and a strong solution-oriented approach to work
