Project Quality Engineer (PQE) Job Description
Responsibility
• Accomplishment of advanced quality planning / APQP from the phase of product definition/acquisition to serial transmission to plant (national and international) according to PEP, using the generic/ basic Q-Plan for creating the Control plan for Prototypes, Pre-Series and Series
• Formulation of the main focus of deficits and implementation of lessons-learned for new projects
• Contract review on customer side regarding quality relevant points
• Obligation to block when critical gateway points in quality cannot be reached, like test which are borderline or failed
• Implementation of customer specific standards and requirements into the subsequent serial production when it is not yet known
• Representation of Webasto interests in front of custoamers and suppliers
• Acceptance of prototypes internal and with customers (in cooperation with Test Engineers if applicable)
• Accomplishment of sampling inspections at customers
• Coordination of ASQE-activities
• Support of gateway preparations and approval of the gateway from Quality point of view when all requirements are fulfilled
• Acceptance and approval of test components for testing at OEM
• Inferring of test planning under point of view of verification in consideration of the tests required from OEM and the validation considering know risks for the application
• Pursues quality goals and initiates necessary corrections in all relevant areas, and escalation if necessary
• Allocation of Warranty predictions
• Quality planning for service parts
• Agreement Warranty Targets for service parts
• Manage, track and administer deviations using company provided systems and processes
Skills
• Technical degree in engineering, production engineering or automotive engineering or vocational education + further expertise (e.g. Technician) + additional training (Quality Management)
• Min. 4 years’ experience in Quality or Manufacturing
• Familiar with Power electronics principles
• Familiar with J-Standard and IPC-610
• Familiar with UL/CE regulatory
• Able to use DMM, Oscilloscope, Isolation meter, and can perform PCBA level troubleshooting and diagnostics.
• Able to use 3D scanners, x-ray system, digital microscope, and signal generator
• Familiar with Q-methods (FMEA, SPC, PPAP, APQP, 8D...)
• Good knowledge of norms and customer requirements
• Good knowledge of special characteristics
• Knowledge of product liability law
• Good English skills

• Negotiation of quality agreements with customers

• Starting-Performance KPI PPM
• Kept customer's schedule (APQP)
• Done Q-sector of Gateway-Checklists in time
• Abilities of YS-attributes are given measuring equipment ability of YS-

• Projects on customer requirements are completely inspected
