Responsibilities

 

  • Support the Accounting function within the business;
  • Support of central accounting process team regarding the creation and regular updating of process documentation;
  • Support all operational tasks to achieve the operational and strategic targets; 
  • Create, support, and improve KPI’s for the Accounting functions;
  • Understand SLA requirements and drive team consistently achieve and surpass expectations;
  • Support transfer of activities from international legal entities into the service organization;
  • Drive target-orientated process analysis and continuous improvement;
  • Monitoring and reviewing the efficiency of implemented processes, methods, and tools and coordinate 1st Level support by key users within WBS;
  • Implement process changes and improvements in all accounting processes with the support of Key Users and Operations Team Leads;
  • Drive accounting process improvements in alignment with GPO and in cooperation with other PMT streams in WBS Lisbon;
  • Responsible for all training activities within WBS Accounting, based on the training catalog within the Finance Academy, selecting, organizing the training materials, documentation and trainers.

 

Requirements

 

  • Experience in operational accounting department preferably in an SSC environment;
  • Preferably with a deep and broad understanding of all accounting areas;
  • Ability to run workshops and meetings;                                                            
  • Good working experience with standard business tools like MS Excel and MS Power BI;   
  • Good understanding of SAP R/3: Accounting modules (AM, AR, AP, GL)  & Controlling modules (CO, PS, EC-PCA und COPA); 
  • Ability to deal with a wide range of stakeholders across all disciplines of the organization, from operational functions to top management levels;
  • Experience in month-end and year-end closing activities according to IFRS;
  • Strong analytical background;
  • Be a problem solver and have excellent communication, negotiation and influence skills is highly appreciated.
