3rd Shift Team Leader
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma / GED Equivalent; college preferred
- 3 – 5 years Production / Manufacturing experience required
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 35 lbs. on a continual basis
- Leadership skills and abilities required
- 2 years supervisory experience in automotive industry
- Experience in lean manufacturing discipline.
- Knowledge of Plant and Press safety beneficial, but will train
- Ability and licenses to operate a Hi-Lo beneficial, but will train
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills required
- Annual Hazardous and Non-Hazardous Waste Training
- May be asked to attend annual RCRA and DOT training course

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Train, develop, monitor, and evaluate subordinate colleagues using The Webasto Way.
- Relieve operators as needed
- Provide leadership and direction to team members (plan material movement ahead of time to minimize downtime).
- May be first responder to any first aid/CPR medical emergencies.
- Insure that all IATF / ISO 14001 procedures are followed.
- Monitors production operation to ensure product quality and production efficiency.
- Plan colleague work schedules and assign daily work assignments.
- Produce product in accordance with material control schedules.
- Ensure colleague compliance with safety regulations and proper machine operation procedures.
- Conduct plant inspections to identify and report areas in need of improvement
- Initiate maintenance repair orders on production related tooling
- Continuously improve process efficiency, colleague development, product quality and safety.
- Promote and enforce a clean, safe, and organized work environment to meet world class standards.
- Develop colleague morale.
- Interface with Human Resources on all policy and discipline issues.
- Address colleagues concerns timely and effectively
- Assist with final inspection.
- Relieve operators at work stations as needed
- Monitor quality system: first off in-process, final inspection forms and control charts
- Monitor and maintain all safety equipment, Webasto owned equipment and tools.
- Complete paperwork on a timely basis (i.e. evaluations, injury reports, production records).
- Enforce all company policies and procedures
- Verify schedule and material availability for set-ups
- Review set-up plan with operators.
- Oversee and instruct operators of change over duties in regards to quick change over.
- Enter production quantities daily into automated production system as required (i.e., QAD)
- May be asked to sign Uniform Hazardous Waste Manifests
- Adhere to Hazardous and Non-Hazardous waste handling, storage and disposal regulations by the following:
- Painting over old manufacturer material labels
- Place Hazardous/Non-Hazardous waste labels on top and side of drum
- If barrel is satellite drum – Place date on both labels once the barrel is full
- If barrel is accumulation area – Place date on drum labels when the barrel begins to be used.
- Once barrel is full, initial upper right hand corner and place line or department name
- Contact the Materials Dept. to transport the barrel to the appropriate storage location.
