Quality Engineer (Automotive Tier 1)

You can look forward to these exciting tasks

  • As a Quality Engineer, establish and maintain laboratory methods, product certifications, and ensure compliance with applicable government and customer regulations
  • Analyze and resolve product issues between suppliers and customers as a Quality Engineer, prioritizing actions based on severity, risk, and customer impact
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams as a Quality Engineer to support quality planning during new product development and provide post-SOP quality support
  • Create and maintain control plans, inspection instructions, PPAP documentation, and ISIR data approvals in the role of Quality Engineer
  • Implement warranty reduction initiatives and provide certification and validation for new gages and quality equipment as a Quality Engineer
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective action activities using structured problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D, 5-Why, Fishbone)
  • Monitor, analyze, and report quality performance metrics and trends to drive continuous improvement and sustained compliance


This is what you bring us

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience, with 3+ years in quality roles within automotive production suited for a Quality Engineer
  • Certified Quality Engineer preferred, with knowledge of FMVSS/ECE certification, laboratory operation (A2LA), metrology, and CMM
  • Proficient in Statistical Process Control (SPC), geometric tolerancing, and blueprint reading
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with experience performing process capability and laboratory tests
  • Team-oriented mindset, with knowledge of automotive glass and glass lamination processes preferred for a Quality Engineer role
