Maintenance Supervisor (Production)

Our Business Area Roof is the global market leader for sunroofs, panoramic roofs, and convertible roofs, offering roof solutions with true added value. As roof specialists, we also provide customized and innovative solutions that meet the highest quality standards for electric mobility, the future of autonomous driving, and the use of solar energy.

You can look forward to these exciting tasks

  • Direct and assign all maintenance personnel to support production, pre-production, and new program builds.
  • Design, build, install, and maintain equipment, tooling, and preventative maintenance systems, including downtime tracking, work orders, inventory, and purchasing.
  • Ensure all equipment and facilities comply with OSHA, MIOSHA, TS 16949, and local government regulations, including Lockout/Tagout procedures and safety standards.
  • Develop and implement equipment fail-safes, Standard Job Instructions, and job-specific training for departmental personnel.
  • Lead hiring, training, development, evaluation, and discipline of maintenance team members in partnership with HR.
  • Monitor and report on maintenance labor efficiency, safety compliance, and departmental performance metrics.
  • Assist the Maintenance Manager with capital equipment planning, budgeting, and continuous improvement initiatives.


This is what you bring to us

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering OR journeyman status w/ two to four years automotive experience OR Degree in related field with six years equivalent related experience.
  • Knowledge of OSHA and MIOSHA regulations.
  • Knowledge of preventative maintenance systems.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communicational skills required.
  • Knowledge of local codes as applicable to facilities.
  • Ability to take a leadership role in a team-based environment.
