General Summary

• Performs janitorial functions for 2nd shift 2:00 pm-10:30 pm plus overtime - Up to 7 days if necessary

Principle Duties and Responsibilities 

• Work within principles of the Colleague Guide - Perform general cleaning procedures as assigned i.e. mopping, waxing floors, vacuuming, and trash removal
• Maintain building exterior to include snow removal, sweeping, window cleaning, trash removal, and lawn maintenance
• Change light bulbs, paint, hang pictures, and other unskilled duties - Run errands and pick up and deliver miscellaneous materials and supplies
• Clean and maintain bathrooms and floors - Clean and maintain the cafeteria - Operate required cleaning equipment as assigned
• Operate floor scrubber - Set up for plant meetings - Ensure proper handling, storage and disposal of hazardous waste
• Ensure all cleaning equipment is clean and in working order and stored properly when not in use - Maintain a safe and clean work environment

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required: 

• Ability to follow predetermined cleaning and maintenance schedules - Capability to multi-task and meet predetermined deadlines
• Ability to comply with company policies and procedures - May be required to work in extreme weather conditions
• Ability to follow safety procedures to avoid slips, falls, strains, and injuries - Good attendance required
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment - Work generally performed in an office and manufacturing environment and requires strict adherence to safety policies and procedures
• Reliable transportation - Must be able to stand up to 12 hours
