Technical Author / Editor (full-time/Remote Work)

As a remote function of our German headquarters, our Technical Authors / Editors in Kampen will:

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Rewrite and edit the raw technical documents supplied internally for all our aftermarket products in the Heating, Cooling, Charging, and Battery domains
  • Access people and information about the installation and operation of our products from the Engineering and Product Management teams in Germany, Italy, and the Netherlands
  • Make sure that the outputs meets modern authoring standards as well as the Webasto style guide

 

Requirements:

 

  • Self-starter who wants to get ahead
  • Accurate and always aim for first-time-right
  • 3+ years’ experience as a Technical Author / Editor
  • Excellent command of English (Being a native speaker is a bonus), a good command of German (Being a native speaker is a bonus) and have a reasonable command of Dutch
  • Experience with Quanos Schema ST4 
  • Experience with graphics, CAD-related or line drawing work, as well as with InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, FrameMaker

The offer

 

Working from home is an certainly an option after initial training. You may also have an option to work from one of our locations in Germany.

We would however like you to work with the documentation team for an initial period of 6 weeks at the Kampen (NL) office for training and team building.

After this period you may need to visit the Kampen office once every 4 – 6 weeks. If you are located near München, this will be every 4 – 12 weeks as we are regular visitors of the German office.
