The Webasto Tech Academy

 

The Tech Academy develops learning materials and provides learning activities, both classroom and digital, that contribute to the development of technical knowledge and skills within the organization. This concerns technical product knowledge and skills in the field of installation, configuration, maintenance, and diagnosis. 
We support a smooth product launch to the market with our trainings. 
The internationally operating Tech Academy consists of four Technical Trainers, three (e-learning) Developers, an Event Manager, and the Manager of the Tech Academy. The Tech Academy falls within the larger department of Service and Network Management, and with that we serve the business unit Customized Solutions.


Objectives 


You provide technical training in the field of AC systems to Webasto employees, local Webasto Technical Trainers, and occasionally to Webasto partners. You also provide substantial technical input for the development of technical training courses and other learning activities of the Tech Academy.
 

The role


As an International Trainer, you are responsible for delivering technical training around the world. This can be classroom trainings, webinars, etc. In addition, you have a role as a knowledge specialist, you ensure that you keep up with your own field of expertise and that you come up with proposals for improvement. You have a role as project initiator, working closely with the team to develop new technical training courses, e-learning modules, or, for example, demo videos. Finally, you contribute proactively to department-wide initiatives for continuous improvement of the Tech Academy and to cross-departmental initiatives.


More specifically the activities entail:

 

  • Contribute to the development of new training materials and updating existing training courses
  • Discuss the technical aspects of our trainings with product engineers within Webasto
  • Train Webasto employees, on location or online, using our webinar studio
  • Occasional training of Webasto Partners or giving demonstrations to customers
  • Proactively retrieve information and make proposals for the improvement of learning activities based on Webasto's technical objectives and customer requirements

 

Your profile

 

  • A company like Webasto needs highly qualified colleagues who are up-to-date in their profession with well-developed personal skills. You have a customer focus with an eye for Webasto interests. You can perform under a tight deadline, and you can set priorities. You are engaging and you have a sense of responsibility
  • You have a bachelor's level of thinking or vocational (+) level, and you want to use your expertise for didactic purposes. You feel at home in the AC systems world, and you have sufficient knowledge of the different techniques. You have strong organizational qualities as well as excellent social and communication skills. You are a result-oriented team player, you have a proactive attitude, and you dare to take responsibility
  • Webasto is flexible in working hours and work locations, and the same flexibility is asked of our employees. You are willing to travel (25-30% of the time abroad). Your English language is sufficiently developed to train people (German is an advantage)
