You can look forward to these exciting tasks:
• Drive overall output and performance of plant Quality function, identify trends and proactively engage with teams to meet and exceed customer expectations and prevent performance deterioration
• Strong interaction and collaboration with regions, business units and functions to implement CI roadmap to achieve quantifiable improvement of plant Q-performance (e.g. improve customer escalation status, reduce overall Q-cost and complaints)
• Lead special projects on request in-line with Q-operations strategy and roadmap
• Drive robust problem solving of customer/internal complaints using relevant problem solving methods and tools (8D, QRQC, 6 Sigma etc.)
• Lead effective global cross-reading across regions, business units and plants
• Support customer and supplier escalation issues on behalf of regions and plants
• Compliance, implementation and optimization of mandatory standards and procedures
• Drive robust handling of relative Q-cost (sorts, complaint cost, scrap) in accordance with relevant procedures/processes
• Drive governance of Q-award and WPS Q-dimensions and confirm compliance
• Provide relevant training for Quality operations processes and procedures
Here’s what you can bring to the team:
• Degree in Engineering (Quality / Production or similar)
• Experience in Quality department /industrial environment, ideally within the glass industry
• At least 3 years of experience as Team Leader
• Proficient in English, with German or French required as a second language.
• Profound knowledge and understanding of relevant Quality & HSE Management Systems, Quality methods & tools, customer specific requirements and their implications
• Excellent technical knowledge of relevant production processes
• Working knowledge of relevant company, legal and customer standards
• Working knowledge of problem solving and continuous improvement tools (e.g. 5Why, QRQC, Kaizen, Fishbone, 5S)
• Excellent knowledge of software applications used in manufacturing (e.g. SAP, statistical software)
• Knowledge of product liability & data safety and protection requirements
• Strong, data-driven decision-maker, results-oriented, financial & business acumen and analytical thinking
