You can look forward to these exciting tasks:
- Being in charge of the digital printing processes in our high-end roof production line
- Organizing and supervising maintenance of digital printer and its components
- Support with data preparation for digital printing
- Robot programming of multi-axis machines (teaching robots)
- Continuous process improvement and trouble-shooting to ensure production line outputs
- Propose and implement continuous improvement actions in close relation to production, maintenance, engineering, development, and quality departments
- Participate in the development of the LEAN manufacturing program
- Interacting with R&D to develop and implement new processes for future products
- Report directly to Line Managers
- Working in shifts
Here's what you can bring to the team:
- Successfully completed Master's degree in mechanical engineering (or equivalent)
- Background in Digital Printing, Automation technique, or similar
Knowledge in:
- General construction of a digital printer
- Printing waveforms (e.g. programming, influence on print result, interaction with print heads)
- Functionality of print head in combination with ink characteristics
- Modification of print templates – influences on print result (print data preparation)
- Programming language Kuka KRL (ideally also C+ / C# / Python)
- Knowledge in software: Beckhoff SPS, Beckhoff TwinCat (ideally also Rhino CAD, Visual Studio, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, Ergosoft Rip V16)
- Practice of LEAN manufacturing is appreciated
- Ability to work independently
- Flexible and rigorous work approach
- Strong communication skills
- 3-5 years of experience in the automotive (glass) industry
- Fluency in English, French and/or German is an advantage
- Affinity with numbers and figures
