Webasto is looking for:

GENERAL SUMMARY – Develops an effective production schedule to satisfy customer part requirements


Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Create and maintain a production schedule (incl. PR Builds) that will meet customers shipping requirements
  • Daily communication production schedule to production supervisor, customer service, material planning
  • Gatekeeper between production, customer service, sales, material planning to facilitate work orders
  • Build confidence in AX system (ERP system) so that production planning module can be utilized
  • Manage power BI reporting tools to support day to day requirements for schedule development and management dashboard reviews
  • Become ERP Key User for Production scheduling, define processes and work for continuous improvement thru ERP process refinement. Provide training to others who need to work within the production module
  • Assist to define hourly needs regarding addressing behind schedule and capacity
  • Assist to update routes, direct labor assumptions, etc., within AX (ERP system)
  • Advance communication to material planning, customer service & sales for possible missed / late shipments
  • Visibility to material planning on material requirements and potential risk of part shortages
  • Coordinate with WH Supervisor needs of material handlers to support compliance to schedule, pulling material, preparing for production, etc.,
  • Work with materials planning mins / max for production supermarket; maintain levels to ensure no downtime
  • Monitor open sales orders, material availability, drop-ins for production schedule fluctuations and changes
  • Work with ME & Warehouse Supv to organize an orderly manufacturing process flow of raw materials through production
  • Coordinate daily operations meeting, maintain daily, weekly, monthly reporting & operational KPI metrics
  • Work with WH Supv to manage in process material inventory.  Regular cycle counts, manage transfers between locations to optimize inventory visibility
  • Create work orders according to the production schedule, work with production to close WO
  • Close work orders with no errors, record actual route times in a timely manner to ensure inventory accuracy
  • Ensure customer requirements are met on time
  • Assess production manpower requirements for monthly and annual business plan
  • Know, understand, develop (if req’d), maintain and utilize all TS16949 procedures pertaining to job
  • Perform all functions in a professional, ethical, and legal manner
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required

  • Bachelors degree in business, supply chain management, etc., preferred
  • Automotive operations experience in materials, production, logistics preferred
  • Excellent computer experience / skills required, AX /SAP familiarity, attention to detail
  • Excellent planning, organizational communication skills required
  • Ability to meet deadlines & time schedules in a fast paced environment
  • Strategic, holistic thinking; ability to multi-task, think on your feet, agile
  • Managerial / Leadership experience; proven in building, sustaining a cohesive team
  • Ability to convince others and drive change
  • Work generally performed in manufacturing environment; requires strict adherence to safety policies


  • Open, close manage work orders
  • Determine production weekly hours required (in conjunction with production supervisor)
  • Contact Webasto personnel at any level necessary to solve concerns or problems
  • Ability to stop production at any time if concern for quality related issue
