Key Account Manager OE Truck

Webasto is looking for:

POSITION SUMMARY

The ability to interact professionally with customers and staff members in a fast paced environment, sometimes under pressure, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient, with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality is crucial to this role. Written and verbal communication skills coupled with a strong sense for creative application design aptitude, prioritizing work and attention to detail are equally important.

 

Ideal candidate will have minimum five years Truck account management experience and demonstrate skills regarding new product introductions, long term business planning, contract negotiations, project planning, management, market analysis, customer relations, strong team building skills. Candidate to excel in presentation and communication skills. Interact professionally with customers and staff members.  Proven ability to overcome objections and communicate value add benefits for Webasto solutions. Maintain relationships with multiple departments within OEM (Engineering, Purchasing, Marketing, Manufacturing, Sales). Valid passport for International Travel required.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

 

  1. Account Management - Responsible for the complete management of the assigned OEM accounts
  2. Maintain regular communication on Webasto product portfolio. Present Webasto product solutions to OE Truck customers & mega fleets.
  3. Complete oversight of customer’s supplier Portals, including the status of WTNA’s Scorecard and coordination of internal resources leading to marked improvements in results.
  4. Report OE Truck customers product requirements for Heating and Cooling
  5. Communicate back to Webasto additional market requirements / customer wish lists
  6. Ability to travel 50% of time and/or as required. Consistent travel to customer headquarters, R&D centers, assembly plants and modification centers.
  7. Attend National and International industry events as approved by Webasto
  8. Additional duties as assigned

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s Degree Preferred with 5-10 years prior experience working with or for Truck dealers and OEM Truck producers.  Prior work experience in Truck industry, end user fleet knowledge and demonstrated Truck equipment knowledge and terminology preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and/or training and/or experience that provides the following knowledge, skills, and abilities.

 

Knowledge and proficiency of:

  1. Sales protocol:  Customer sourcing, managing, negotiation, closing
  2. OE Truck engineering specification processes – data base listings
  3. Truck cabin heating and air conditioning systems
  4. Truck industry Idling reduction technologies
  5. Strong customer servicing and problem diagnostic skills
  6. Customer relationship management (CRM)
  7. Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  8. Current office practices, equipment and calendar/work scheduling
