Webasto is looking for:

General Summary

Responsible for all activities related to month end activities.  This includes account reconciliations, accruals, and all necessary activities that contribute to accurate month end financial statements.  This position will also support the Controller on special projects when needed as well as acting as project controller for projects.


Principle Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for general accounting in Accordance with IFRS, external audits, taxation, customs, plant tooling, budgets, business plans and monthly reporting.
  • Reconcile the general ledger activity monthly.
  • Analyze and interpret financial data.
  • Prepare required reports (i.e., key measurable reports, QOS graphs, forecasts, NAFTA reports, etc.).
  • Prepare required reconciliations (i.e., bank reconciliations, Webasto intercompany reconciliations, etc.)
  • Participate in the month end close process.
  • Participate in physical inventories.
  • Review material variances on a weekly basis.
  • Active participation in SAP ERP user group activities (Unite project)
  • Monitor expenditures and cash flow (i.e., capital expenditures, operating department costs, and premium costs).
  • Assist the Controller in the annual budget and quarterly reforecast process.
  • Assist the Controller in the year-end audit preparation and assist the auditors during fieldwork.
  • Assist the Controller with risk management activities.
  • Prepare data to be uploaded and/or key in data to global financial consolidation tool (BOFC).
  • Project Controlling
  • Special Projects




  • Approve journal entries to general ledger


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

        Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred. 3 years of relevant experience
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Including strong Excel and ERP system Skills
  • SAP ERP Financial Suite Experience strongly preferred
  • Previous project controlling preferred
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to work independently and take initiative
  • Able to lead multiple priorities with accuracy and efficiency while meeting deadlines
  • Able to adapt to changing priorities
  • Detailed –oriented, team player, and strong work ethic
  • Work is general performed in an office environment with minimum exposure to hazardous working conditions
