Webasto is looking for a Sales Manager to help support our rapidly growing Charging Division.

Sales Manager - Automotive

Electric Vehicle Charging Solutions





This position will be responsible for managing multiple automotive OEM customer relationships and growing their book of Webasto Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE) product and service revenue.


Position location: Auburn Hills, MI, USA.


Duties include:

  • The role of the Sales Manager is to generate revenue from selling charging products and services for on-road electric vehicles
  • This position focuses primarily on selling into the passenger vehicle market via global automotive OEM partners.
  • Acts as customer’s single point of contact for all commercial and strategic activity. Oversee all other aspects of customer relationship, drawing on the ability of cross functional Webasto team members, to realize profitable revenue growth within strategic framework.
  • Acts as “voice of the customer” within Webasto to ensure new project proposals exceed customer expectations.
  • Maintains market and product volume and revenue models based on comprehensive understanding of customer strategies and OE market drivers and trends. Leverage these models and knowledge to inform product and marketing strategies.
  • Maintains high level of Webasto product and process knowledge and understanding of relative position within competitive landscape.
  • Represents Webasto at industry/market events.
  • Regularly supports, interface with, and collaborate with management/executive teams on reporting and strategic business proposal reviews.


Qualifications and Background:

  • Experience in the Electric Vehicle market is strongly preferred.
  • Must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in sales, business development, or strategy at tier 1 automotive supplier. Experience in with the EVSE market is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably with business, marketing, strategy, or engineering focus
  • Experience working within an international team preferred
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated, ability to define and execute path to success given only high-level targets.
  • Driven to develop close relationships, learn about customers, and find creative new opportunities for collaboration.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20%
