Our “Roof & Components (RC)” business unit develops and produces roof systems for every type of vehicle and autonomous driving. To achieve this, we rely on the most modern technologies and materials. This job develops and continuously improves process technologies including process steps, parameters and standards in the respective area (e.g. PU, Textile, Potting) to ensure safe and efficient processes. Additionally, it uses technology expertise and best practices with the aim of maximizing the efficiency and productivity of the production line. May participate in GEO activities representing the regional/plant view. 


Main Responsibilities

  • Leading sub-projects within the area of Process Engineering 
  • Definition and implementation of mandatory process standards and line or cell layouts (incl. layout change)
  • Conducting and reviewing analyses of process-relevant KPIs and identifying and implementing improvements 
  • Audit and release of new processing equipment and standards
  • Definition of work instructions, routings and standard times
  • Developing and performing specific trainings programmes related to relevant Process Technologies
  • Performing and reviewing investment feasibility analysis report for approval
  • Represent ME requirements in the supplier selection process
  • Support in development of all relevant standards (GME, R&/D, Quality, Testing)
  • Support Continuous Improvement Ideas with Plant ME Members.
  • Responsible of Industrialization of Manufacturing Process for new Projects as required during APQP / PEP Processes.
  • Develop Technical Specification for New Equipment required.
  • Responsible to prepare CAPEX for Equipment 


Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience
  • High knowledge of respective technology
  • High knowledge of technical context
  • Basic project management skills
  • Core Documentation skills
  • Proven Problem Solving know how
  • AutoCAD / CATIA skills as preferred.
