Lead Advanced Manufacturing Engineer

Our Business Area Roof is the global market leader for sunroofs, panoramic roofs, and convertible roofs, offering roof solutions with true added value. As roof specialists, we also provide customized and innovative solutions that meet the highest quality standards for electric mobility, the future of autonomous driving, and the use of solar energy.

You can look forward to these exciting tasks

  • Coordinate and manage cross functional teams to develop manufacturing plans for new products to reach Webasto’s cost and quality objectives
  • Responsible for development projects’ manufacturing engineering deliverables during concept, development, realization, validation, and launch phase
  • Ensure compliance to capital investment, direct labor, machine rate / cycle time, and scrap assumptions established during the acquisition phase.
  • Lead advance manufacturing engineering team to execute and deliver projects within approved timelines and budget.
  • Coordinate equipment final acceptance activities with launch management team and complete project hand off to the plant.


This is what you bring to us

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and / or an equivalent combination of education and related work experience
  • 5+ years experience of project development and management in high volume automotive manufacturing or equivalent
  • Working knowledge of vehicle system level components and functions. Knowledge in sunroof / moonroof systems is preferred
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and leadership skills with a history of excellent task prioritization and time management
