Webasto is seeking a details oriented and motivated leader to join our team as a Director of Quality at our North American headquarters in Auburn Hills, MI.  

 

 

What you will do – Essential Responsibilities:

•    Manage the quality team and develop quality understanding, -strategy and -processes in R&C

              •     Lead R&C quality function to ensure stakeholder management and engagement with cross-functional global teams

              •     Review, report and improve quality performance (customer satisfaction, quality cost, process performance data etc.) and provide strategic direction to improve quality performance

              •     Ensure successful and on-time completion of customer quality tasks within PEP

              •     Lead complaint-handling systems, ensuring timely reporting, adequate root cause investigations and compliance to schedule on resulting action items

              •     Develop and implement a standardized and sustainable Problem Solving system.

              •     Monitor, measure, and report on quality escalation issues.  Engage and drive improvement activity plans to achieve targets within the appropriate timescales.

              •     Monitor the implementation of Operational Quality Standards in-line with corporate and customer expectations.

              •     Monitor Regional Performance KPI’s and surveillance of activities to reach the targeted results.

              •     Drive and support regional activities to achieve high quality performance results in-line with Internal Quality Award

        requirements

              •     Drive and support regional activities to meet the highest level Customer Certification requirements (Eg. A-Rating).

 

 

The minimum requirements you will need:

              •     Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field

              •     Minimum 10 years experience in the area of Quality Management

              •     Minimum 5 years Managerial experience.

              •     Strong leadership capabilities (e.g. functional)

              •     Change agent capabilities – Persuasive & Assertive skills

              •     Good knowledge of VDA 6.3 and IATF16949:2009 requirements

              •     Excellent Problem Solver

              •     Extensive knowledge of key Quality tools & methods (8D, FMEA, SPC, PPAP, APQP)

              •     Good knowledge and customer requirements & expectations

              •     High Customer focus and drive

              •     Experienced customer interfacing

              •     Good technical analytical skills – 6 Sigma capabilities preferred

              •     Computer literate - Good MS-Office, SAP-QM, QAD skills

              •     Willingness to travel local & International

              •     Good knowledge of customer technical specifications
