Webasto is seeking candidates to join our team as a Sr. Tax Expert at our North American headquarters in Auburn Hills, MI.   
 
What you will do – Essential Responsibilities:

    •    Organizes and prepares the national income tax returns including the examination of the decision and, if necessary, preparation of objections
    •    Processes tax forms (e.g. withholding tax) and tax returns (e.g. sales tax)
    •    Performs current and deferred tax calculation for the domestic companies as well as support of the foreign companies within the scope of the annual financial statement work and preparation of the tax-relevant notes within the scope of the consolidated financial statement
    •    Analyzes and implements topics in tax accounting
    •    Handles complex tax issues
    •    Participates in special projects such as mergers and acquisitions
    •    Prepares domestic transfer pricing documentation, assistances with foreign transfer pricing documentation and supports in creation of the transfer price concept
    •    Prepares tax guidelines
    •    Assists with tax matters related to payroll, state registrations and corporate filings
    •    Manages corporate insurance coverages and claims

The minimum requirements you will need:

    •    Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Tax or related field
    •    At Least 9-10 years of tax experience
    •    CPA, Tax Counselor certification a plus
    •    Advanced knowledge in tax disciplines
    •    Experience in a tax department of an international operating company preferred
    •    Expertise in national/international tax law
    •    Good project management skills
    •    Highly experienced in MS-Office and SAP
